I graduated from
Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, PA with a 4.0 GPA, majoring in
elementary education, with a minor in special education. I received the
Anita McDonald Outstanding Continuing Education Student of the Year Award
for the graduating class of 2001. I also hold a nursing degree from
Montgomery County Community College and worked for nearly 20 years in the
community as a hospital and visiting nurse. Prior to teaching, I worked in the field of child advocacy and staff development, specializing in children with attention deficit disorders and learning disabilities. I try to be a strong advocate for the educational rights of all children. I am currently working on my Masters Degree in Education with a Focus on Technology in the Classroom from Walden University. I expect to complete that by May 2005. I currently have a 4.0 GPA.
In April 2004, I was named Keystone Technology Integrator for Wissahickon
School District and later named as one of the top 100 Technology Integrators
in the State of Pennsylvania. In August of 2004 I represented the district
at a state-wide forum in Loretto, PA where the top 100 Technology winners
discussed new innovations in technology and ways to implement technology in
the classroom. I hope to bring some of those new innovations to WMS this
fall. |
